Never belittle the power of Loneliness

Anybody who is a loyal fan of
Desperate Housewives is no stranger to this quote from
Mary Alice Young:
Yes, life is a journey, one that is much better travelled with a companion by our side. Of course, that companion can be just about anyone... a neighbour on the other side of the street... or the man on the other side of the bed. The companion can be a mother with good intentions... or a child who's up to no good. Still, despite our best intentions, some of us will lose our companions along the way. And then the journey becomes unbearable. You see, human beings are designed for many things, but loneliness isn't one of them. This enabled me to reflect back on my actions. Due to my impulse and reckless nature to skip the CIP class event, I had caused one of my close buddies to suffer in solitude. First of all, I must say a big SORRY to that person. I really didnt expect things to turn out so bad. Thankfully, she accepted my apology and chose to let the matter rest. This is a lesson learnt and I just suddenly had the thought that loneliness is indeed a too crushing sentiment that is neither desirable nor pleasant.
