Floppy month
Wednesday, July 26, 2006
Nothing much to update this month, except that I'm happier and more contented than I have ever been this year. I just registered for my Final Theory Test(FTT), which will be held on 28 August. I plan to take up practical lessons only after I pass my FTT. Learning to drive these days sure is expensive. Registration itself cost $152.25, inclusive of handbooks for the theory tests and 1 tutorial session. 1 pratical session will cost around $50 - $70, depending on if the session is considered an off-peak lesson. Daddy was complaining of how expensive it is as he took out his UOB card to pay. He grumbled that during his time, he only forked out $180 to obtain a license. Now, it costs 10 times the amount to obtain the same license. I didn't feel any pain through. The money wasn't taken from my wallet. Haha.
Ok, there is a pinch of guilt.
I realised my expenses have soared ever since I became jobless. I guess I'm so free that I just can't stop shopping and buying clothes. I bought mostly tops... I plan to buy bottoms as well. Sigh, I admit I'm definitely a compulsive shopper. Another one of the philosophy: old habits die hard.
I'm trying to pack my clothes and it is definitely a tedious chore. However, it is something I have to do. I need to pack my clothes and bring some over to my aunt's place. I will be staying with them for a few days when Daddy goes to China next month. Can you believe it? He will be going to China for 23 days, without me! Argh!!! Hey, I need a holiday as well!
Hey DaGe, you're not going back next month right? I read from your blog that you're going to Hong Kong for holiday. One word: unfair! Oh, I completed Heroes V of Might and Magic. It's quite fun and graphics are certainly better. I didn't like the ending through.
One last thing I have to let out: These few weeks have been very warm! The weather is so hot that my favourite spot in the house is to sit under the fan in the living room. A million of thanks to the brilliant person who invented the fan!

Melody in my mind
Thursday, July 13, 2006
I almost had the urge to run out to the music store and get Shania Twain's "Greatest Hits" and Craig David's "The Story Goes". My favourite song of the day is "Unbelievable" by Craig David. Listening to the song makes me smiles. It's soooooo pleasant and easy on the ears!!! Such melodious music~~~

It's finally over.

Yes!!! Finally after 7 months of agony and toleration, I'm free of the anguish! Honestly, I feel so relieved to be finally out of work. The long distance of travelling and extensive working hours are indeed draining me out. However, I did have a bit of reluctance to leave. Not because the company is treating us to a farewell dinner, it's due to the fondess I've developed for some of the students, parents and teachers. They have made these 7 months slightly more abiding.

Eugene is such an adorable boy!!! If you notice hard enough, you'll realise that two of his front teeth are missing. Haha... He would always showcase his set of teeth to me, and it never fails to make me laugh, considering his set of teeth is not complete.
Notice all the dark eye rings I have? It's all due to the World Cup matches! Nevertheless, the match of Germany against Argentina was excellent! Wouldn't missed it for the world.

Another of my favourite student! Her name is Marabeth. I thought that is simply a lovely name! It's definitely suitable for a lovely child!

See the student in the white and blue shirt? He's the one that every teacher fears! Haha. However, he's a really cute fellow. The lady on the right is the mother of the Malay boy in red. I really like both the mother and son! They're very fun company to be with.

Here's a picture of my desk. Really messy, right? Haha... I like it that way. It serves as evidence that I worked there.

In Grey's Anatomy, Meredith Grey made a statement: Maybe we like the pain. Maybe we're wired that way. Because without it, I don't know; maybe we just wouldn't feel real. What's that saying? Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop.

Haha, it definitely feels good and real!!! Of course, I also feel proud that I actually stick to the same job for about half a year. Can't believe that I had the urge to quit in March, but made it all the way to end of June.

Another reason why I'm so ecstatic is that I got selected into the German LPP, which means I'm going to read German soon in NUS!!! Yahoo!!! If I manage to maintain the grade of C in the German modules, I'll have a chance to go Switzerland!!! Haha, the future feels great!
