Inside the central train station (aka 'T-Centralen')

Statue right outside the station

Along the central shopping district... Too bad I've arrived slightly too late and the winter sales are almost over... Sad... Looking forward to summer sales~~~

Picture of the ceiling in the lecture theatre! If you notice sufficiently hard enough, it's not difficult to realise the 'open-mindedness' that revolves around this piece of art... I've never seen so many drawings of 'erm erm' in my life before (definitely not in NUS)...

Down view from my seat in the LT... (Though I seriously think that the 'up' view is more interesting... Haha.)

View taken from my window...
Lappis, which is the place that I'm staying in, is covered in snow!!!

Took these shots during the walk from Lappis to the nearest train station. Depending on your speed, the journey is about 10-20 minutes. I took 20 minutes this morning because of the frozen ice! It was so slippery and I was literally walking like a 'retard'... I even slipped and fell!!! Oh man... Despite the pain, it was a matter of seconds before I stood up again cos' it was so embarrassing... If ever anyone wish to try ice-skating for free, the walking trail that I had undertaken this morning will be a perfect training ground.

Trip to Gamla Stan (Old City) before the start of work!
Large Hot White Chocolate!!! Extremely satisfying during winter!!! Warning: Please remember to stir before drinking or the bottom half of the drink will be too sweet for consumption. (based on experience...)

The ambience in the cafe is very comfortable and romantic~~~ Great place to stop by and have a cup of hot white chocolate haha!

Walking around the area of Gamla Stan... Very old architecture... Super cool!

We're all so cold~~~ Finally, FIRE!!!

Imprint of NCST 8 in Stockholm!

Going around the city area and the time then was only 4pm! The sun has set at 3.30pm!!! It felt as dinnertime had arrived but it was, in actual, only possible for tea-time. The sun really makes hell lots of difference!!!
On the train ride to IKEA. The distance is almost like Hougang to NUS... Pretty far and considering how shag I am, I can almost fall asleep during the journey.
Food in Sweden is never not-fulfilling... This is a guarantee...

Complete batch of NCST 8! Oh yeah, missing one guy... The photographer himself!Yup, 9 of us are going to excel in Sweden~~~ (or so I hope)...

Till next time~~~

Walking towards KTH(our exchange university)...KTH Library
Photo of some of the guys in my batch and our female coordinatorThought this was a funny photo. That guy must be famished. Hehe...First meal in Stockholm!!! Hawaii Pizza!!! It's almost 3 times the size of a regular pan pizza in Pizza Hut... ><
Felt so guilty for throwing away half of the pizza... As a lesson learnt, I'll 'da bao' all the lunch meals that I never finish. Haha, that's something I picked up in Stockholm. So typical Asian lor...
Taken at 9am... Looks like 7am in SG time. Where's the sun???

I'm here in Stockholm!!! Woohoo!!! The weather's cold, especially when the brutal wind starts to blow. That's absolutely chilling! Nevertheless, it's pretty interesting to walk around and look at the surroundings. The buildings, roads, lamps, streets are so different from Singapore. Unfortunately, I've forgot to bring my camera out as everything was pretty rushed on the 1st day. Oh well, there's always other times. Hehe. The coolest part was the 'mist-blowing' exercise when we stepped foot outside airport. Haha, super cold but i'm more fascinated by the mist that's coming out of my mouth as I spoke.

Oh, and a big thanks to those who came to send me off at the airport. I've finally read the cards when I'm in my room feeling cold, tired and pretty miserable from jet lag. Haha. Yup, but the cards made me feel so much warmer~~~ So thanks thanks to all who came down personally and also those whose names are in the cards!!!

A pretty pleasing and rewarding week~~~

The farewells have been a blast of time and they just make me feel so blessed. So a big THANK YOU to all my friends, especially the hybrids, li jun and Meow!!!

As much as I am very, extremely excited to be going overseas with an apparent intent, I cannot help but feel sad and worried after all the celebrations are over. It’s sometimes scary to have these overwhelming emotions engulf you just before dreamland approaches late at night. Though I know it’s the norm, it will be so much easier if I can control the feelings and thoughts running through my mind. At least I do not have to spend an hour or more tossing around in bed, wondering if I can survive on my own in Stockholm.

Heck, I’m a survivor!!!

Now, back to packing again… It’s the task that will never end till the day I fly.

P.S. I welcome anyone who wishes to 'camp' in my room in Stockholm anytime of the year. It has space for additional people. Meaning: Please visit me if possible!!! Haha. Take care!!!

It is about 2 days late but I still want to wish everyone: A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2008 is quite memorable~~~ Made new friends and tighten bonds with existing friends~~~ A wonderful year! (Though not so wonderful in terms of grade and cap ><)

Looking forward to 2009, though I know I'm going to miss many people and things here. My family, friends, food, comfort and everything that just makes Singapore home to me…

I’ve had my first farewell dinner today. Thanks Jiamin and Zi Hao! It had been an enjoyable night just catching up and gossiping over dinner. Oh yeah, I’m really going to miss all the gossip, so please people, fill me in on the juicy details if there is any!

Ha! In the meantime, I’m still in the midst of packing. Just started on the chore and let’s just say that it has been a rather difficult task, especially after judging the space available in the suitcase against my packing list. I’m still trying to figure a way out…
