What's up?
Sunday, March 16, 2008
It's Sunday, and I feel pretty miserable right now. Sigh, can't even take a proper break on during the weekend cos' inorganic test is just tomorrow. Not to mention that there was supposed to be tuition today at 11am, and I arrived at the student's place only to find not a single soul in the house. The mother forgot all about it... Bumper... It's not the first time though.
I'm trying to come up with part of my CV now. Placing my luck on the industrial attachments organised by NUS Chemistry Department. Mangaed to convince XX to send in her application as well. The hybrid gang is also trying. Yeah, the more the merrier. A bit overwhelmed to try alone. ^^ I'm glad that the department is doing its part to source for internship for its students, cos' I realised that there was zero internship available for Chemistry majors during the Career Fair. Most were for Business and Engineering studentsXX is thinking of trying for the position of Teacher Aide and the task is basically to assist secondary/JC students in science. Pay is pretty reasonable ($25/hr) and working hours are just 4 hours per week. Sounds manageable during school term. XX wants to apply for the East Zone and if I want, I'll apply for the North Zone. Guess what I'm supposed to work with if I become a Teacher Aide? ELEMENTZ! Oh my, reminds me of my Secondary 3 life. Still can recall my Elementz project very well - burning of peanuts... How very 'exciting'... I'll never forget Nas' elementz project. Haha, cockroaches running everywhere in the science lab. That was definitely entertaining! Haha. Anyway I guess I'll give this job a miss. Having a tuition assignment is sufficient for me.18th April - release of 'The Forbidden Kingdom'!!! I've watched the trailer on YouTube and the movie seems good! A lot of kungfu (duh! It's Jet Li and Jackie Chan!) and very funny scenes! Looking forward to it!!!
