LOST

Sometimes I wonder… I’m moving into my third year and I still ponder about my attainments in college. Fear, worry and indolence have been holding me back for the past 2 years, leaving me with nothing but only ‘bugging’ possibilities.
I need to have changes, even if it means that the path ahead is challenging and tough. It may even be extremely demoralizing and disappointing. Sometimes, a little determination and courage is all it takes to take the first step.
I can’t afford to complete my education with regrets and qualms. If that is to happen, I only have myself to blame. Yes, that should be my approach and it has to stay that way.
Time for bidding!

Batman : The Dark Knight

Brilliant movie... I'm so blown away by it that I'm hoping the film makers will not produce a third movie to this sequel unless they're absolutely sure that it will surpass "The Dark Knight". The second film is definitely more fearsome and affecting. I like the fact that it plays heavily on the realistic side of emotions. It’s so easy to strike fear in one and desperation often drives people up the wall. Even knights in shining armour have flaws and weaknesses.
The Joker is a frightening character and Heath Ledger has been nothing but outstanding in his role as the infamous villain. Also, I credit the acting by Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart (Harvey Dent) and Michael Caine (Alfred). They are all amazing actors. The film makers themselves ought to be commended for the script and production of this work, which in my opinion is one of the best motion pictures of the year.
I’m so in love with Lamborghini Murcielago right now… Just realized that my friends and I had left the theater without watching till the end of the credits to catch a short video made in memory of Ledger and another crew member. Wie schade!Favourite statement from the movie : "You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain."

Rumbling...

I've just read in the papers that William Petersen is leaving CSI as an original cast member and his last appearance is currently set to be in Season 10 ... CSI is undeniably one of the best shows as it's both intriguing and intellectual. I’m definitely going to miss Gil Grissom’s witty remarks and neat replies. Pushing Daisies is another entertaining and relaxing show to watch. It’s very light-hearted and is part of a perfect way to unwind on a Sunday night. As you can see, I’m big fan of American television shows… Currently hooked onto SYTYCD too! Haha.I didn't like the smell of the straightening cream that I'd recently bought. The pungent stink is giving me headaches whenever I use it and the whole process is not very pleasant. A strong urge to stop the usage... Maybe there's something lacking in my technique/method, but one thing's for sure... I get slightly straighter hair one day and the next day, the curls are back... Combing has become a knotty task these days.
Anyway, work’s been piling up because Debbie’s on leave for 4 days and I had to cover her duties temporarily. Lunch is so quiet without her… But she’s coming back on Monday!!! Yeah!
Bidding is going to start soon and I’m still at a loss for the selection of an elective module. Financial Accounting? German 3? Professional Communication? Meeting up with Natalie to borrow her notes for German 3 and getting her opinion on the module. Hopefully, I’ll have a decision by the end of the week.

Big Day
Thursday, July 10, 2008
Dinner on Monday with the gals was at Fisherman’s Wharf. Fish and chips cost only $6.50 per plate but the drink was wayyy too dear. A can of lemon barley is priced at 2 bucks. Heartache… Oh well, at least we kept within the $10 dinner budget.
I finally looked through the photo album of xx's 21st b’day celebrations last month that ww posted some time ago. Hehe, some were pretty hilarious candid pictures.
Moment of revelation! Presents!
and more presents... Must check properly, there's hidden presents somewhere...
Last but not least, a group shot! End of happy hours!

Ups and downs

Internet connection at home these days has been experiencing severe hassles. Completely disappointed with a particular telecommunication operator and their customer service personnel... I'm beginning to ponder that all the good service campaigns are simply a joke...
Well dissatisfaction aside, August is coming!!! Very soon, I'll be 21 years of age! I've been thinking through about the gifts that I yearn for. At the moment, there is no strong desire for any particular item, but I always prefer practical things for presents. Haha. No pressure there, just expressing my thoughts…
Suggested birthday gift:
1) Bag (for school usage). I don’t mind the make or model so long as it can contain the necessities (i.e pencil case, file, water bottle, umbrella etc.)
2) Bag (for shopping purpose). Simple and ‘nice’ is sufficient. Preferably my wallet, purse, handphone and MP3 player can all be placed inside. They are my most important assets!!!
3) Vouchers from Kinokuniya (can use them to buy comics haha)
4) Accessories (pendant/necklace/earrings only please)
5) Sms blessings!!! It's the heart and thought that count.
There's all that I can think of now, but no obligations to stick strictly to the items above. I won't mind receiving 'surprises' at times.
